- 2 c. cornmeal (white)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 c. cold water
- 4 c. boiling water
Directions

1Mix first 3 ingredients together and stir into boiling water very slowly.

2Turn down fire and cook slowly, stirring, for 10 to 15 minutes.

3Eat warm with milk and sugar or lump of butter.

4If desired, you may fry by pouring into an oiled loaf pan and store overnight.

5The next day, slice and fry crisp in hot fat over hot fire.

6Serve immediately with butter and syrup.
