Old Fashioned Cornmeal Pie

- 1 c. butter, softened (no substitute)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 unbaked pie shells
Directions

1In large bowl, cream the butter and sugar.

2Beat in eggs, one at a time.

3Add corn syrup, milk and vanilla.

4Mix well.
-
5Fold in cornmeal and flour.

6Pour into pastry shells.

7Bake for 25 minutes in a 350° oven.

8Reduce heat to 300°.
-
9Bake 20 minutes longer or until pie tests done.
