- 4 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 4 c. unsalted nuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. soda
Directions

1In a large heavy saucepan or skillet, stir sugar, corn syrup and 2 cups of water over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking without stirring until 238° on candy thermometer, about 15 minutes.

2Add nuts.

3Continue cooking until syrup turns golden to 300°, about 20 minutes.

4Add butter and soda.

5Stir until well blended.

6Pour on lightly greased cookie sheet.

7Cool and break in pieces.

8Store in airtight container.

9Makes about 3 1/2 pounds.
