Old Fashioned Raisin Pie

- 3 c. raisins
- 3 c. water
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- pastry for 9-inch pie
Directions

1Combine raisins and water; boil five minutes.

2Blend sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.

3Add to raisins and stir until clear. Remove from heat and add vinegar and butter.

4Cool slightly.

5Turn into pastry-lined pan.

6Cover with top crust or lattice strips. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes.

7Lower heat to 350° and bake about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
