- 5 large yellow onions
- 10 slices bacon
- 3/4 lb. natural Swiss cheese, grated
- 3/4 stick butter or oleo
- 1/4 lb. pkg. crackers, crumbled
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3 eggs
- paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Slice onions; add salt and pepper and smother in butter until tender.

2Cover bottom of casserole with cracker crumbs.

3Cook bacon until crisp.

4When onions are very tender, place on top of crackers along with butter they were cooked in.

5Crumble bacon on top of onions.

6Top with grated cheese.

7Beat eggs well; add sour cream and blend well.

8Pour over the cheese.

9Sprinkle with paprika.

10Cover with foil and bake at 350° until set, about 35 minutes.
