Orange Slice Cake

Directions

   Roll chopped nuts, orange slice candy and dates in 1/2 cup of the flour.

   Sift the remaining 3 cups flour with the soda and salt.

   Cream butter and buttermilk together.

   Add eggs, one at a time.

   Add sugar and next the 3 remaining cups of flour.

   Mix well.

   Add coconut to cake batter.

   Blend well.

   Add nuts, orange slice candy and dates.

    Mix well.

    Bake in tube pan at 250° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
