Ingredients

  • 2 lb. stew beef, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 5 or 6 carrots
  • 3 or 4 potatoes
  • 2 small onions
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Brown beef in skillet. Cut all vegetables in chunks.

    Mix all ingredients in large roasting pan.

    Cover tightly with foil; bake for 3 hours at 325° or for 4 hours at 250°.

    Don't peek until after 2 hours; re-cover and finish baking.
