- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
Directions

1Beat egg; add remaining ingredients in order listed and beat with electric mixer until smooth.

2Grease heated griddle or skillet if necessary.

3To test griddle, sprinkle with a few drops of water.

4If bubbles skitter around, heat is just right.

5Pour batter from tip of large spoon or from pitcher onto hot griddle.

6Turn pancakes as soon as they are puffed and full of bubbles bur before bubbles break.

7Bake other side until golden brown.
