  • 1 c. very fine sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

    Lightly dampen grease-proof paper or aluminum foil cut in a 9-inch circumference. Beat egg whites until stiff and frothy. Gradually add sugar and beat until thick. Fold in sifted cornstarch and lemon juice. Spread into volcano shape on grease-proof paper. Bake in slow oven, 250°, for
