- 1 pound field peas shelled
- sage to taste
- black pepper to taste
- flour as needed
Directions

1Cook podded peas in boiling water to cover until tender- approximately 1 hour. Drain water.

2Mash peas with a potato masher or blend in a blender or food processor.

3Add black pepper and sage to taste. Mix well.

4Add 1 - 2 TBSP flour. With your hands, make sausage-like patties or links,or make hamburger size patties. Spray a heated skillet with non-stick spray or use a TBSP of olive oil or vegetable oil. Fry over med. heat until browned on both sides.
