- 2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 2 cups peanuts
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/8 teaspoon soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
Directions

1Pour sugar, corn syrup and water into saucepan.

2Cook, stirring only until sugar is dissolved.

3Continue cooking until sugar begins to turn light brown (300 degrees) by candy thermometer.

4Remove from heat.

5Add salt, soda, butter and stir as little as possible, only to mix well.

6Stir in peanuts and coconut.

7Spread on a greased sheet of waxed paper set on top of a baking sheet and let the mixture cool and harden.
