Peanutty Chocolate Fudge

- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 lb. caramels (about 26)
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped peanuts
Directions

1In a heavy 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk and caramels.

2Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture comes to an overall boil.

3Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and peanuts, until chips are melted.

4Pour mixture into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Let cool completely.

5Cut into 64 (1-inch) squares.
