Peanutty Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/4 lb. caramels (about 26)
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped peanuts

Directions

    In a heavy 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk and caramels.

    Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture comes to an overall boil.

    Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and peanuts, until chips are melted.

    Pour mixture into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Let cool completely.

    Cut into 64 (1-inch) squares.
