- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. chopped Macadamia or pecan nuts
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese (smooth)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (15 oz.) can pear halves, drained
Directions

1Cream butter and 1/3 cup sugar together; beat in flour, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla and nuts.

2Press in greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or lightly browned.

3Cool. Mix cream cheese, egg, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla together and pour over crust.

4Drain pears and cut into 1/8-inch slices. Arrange over filling.

5Combine 1/2 teaspoon sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pears.

6Bake at 375° for 28 to 30 minutes.

7Center will be soft, but will firm while cooling.

8Refrigerate before cutting.
