Ingredients

  • 3 cans peas (Maxine uses 2), drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts, quartered
  • 1 small jar pimento
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. chopped celery
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3 c. milk

Directions

    Saute in butter the celery, onion and pepper.

    Stir together soup and milk.

    Mix all together; pour into greased casserole. Cover with crushed cheese crackers (Maxine uses plain crackers). Bake at 350° until bubbly.
