- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup and water; cook slowly until sugar dissolves and mixture forms a soft ball (236°), 15 to 20 minutes. Add pecans and salt; cook until mixture hardens slightly (295°), 20 to 30 minutes.

2Stir constantly.

3Remove from heat.

4Add butter and soda.

5Stir.

6Pour evenly into well-greased, shallow pan.

7Cool partially.

8Turn when firm.

9When cold, break into pieces.
