Norwegian Stuffed Onion

- 6 large onions
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. ground beef or veal
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. beef stock
Directions

1Peel the onions and cut a 1/2-inch slice from the top of each. Put these aside to use for a topping.

2Hollow out the center of the onion to form holes for the stuffing.

3Save the center of the onion and chop them fine.

4Melt the butter and brown the ground meat, salt and pepper.

5Mix them well.

6When the meat is brown, stuff the center of the onion with the meat mixture.

7Place the top slices of the onions

8back on and place toothpicks to hold them together.

9Put the onions in a baking dish and pour the beef stock over them.

10Bake at 345°

11for 1 hour or until the onions are soft.
