Pecan Cake

- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs (at room temperature)
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. butter flavoring
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Mix pecans with 1/4 cup flour and set aside.

2Cream butter and Crisco slowly adding sugar.

3After creaming butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, beaten well after each egg.

4Add sifted flour and soda, along with buttermilk.

5Blend well and stir in pecans and mix.

6Add flavoring. Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.

7Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

8Cool and put Cream Cheese Icing on cake.
