  • 9-inch single crust pastry
  • 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. flour
  • 1 1/4 c. dark corn syrup
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 c. pecan halves or broken pecans

Directions

    Heat oven to 375°.

    In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla; beat well.

    Stir in margarine and pecans.

    Pour into pastry lined pie pan.

    Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes or until center of pie is puffed and golden brown. Cool.

    Serve plain or with whipped cream.
