Ingredients: 1 pkg. Duncan Hines yellow cake mix; 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted; 1 egg; 1 c. chopped pecans, toasted; 2/3 c. reserved cake mix; 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar; 1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup; 1 tsp. vanilla; 3 eggs

1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9-inch baking pan; reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling.

In large mixing bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and 1 egg; mix until crumbly. Press in prepared pan.

Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until light golden brown.

Meanwhile, prepare filling.

Pour filling over partially baked crust; sprinkle with pecans.

Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes until filling is set.

Cool.
