Pecan Roll Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
  • 1 pkg. dates, chopped
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 qt. pecans, coarsely chopped
  • scoop of butter or margarine (about the size of a walnut)

Directions

    Mix sugar, syrup and milk. Cook to a soft ball.

    Put in chopped dates and cook 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat and mix in butter and nuts. Stir until cool.

    Pour out on a clean, damp cloth.

    When cool enough to handle, roll into a roll.

    After candy is completely cool, roll up in foil and refrigerate. Slice and enjoy.
