- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean beef round steak, cut into strips or cubed
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. vegetable juice
- 1 c. green onions
- 2 medium green bell peppers, cut into strips
- 2 large tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 3 c. hot, cooked rice
Directions

1Brown steak in margarine.

2Add garlic powder, pepper, water, vegetable juice and onions.

3Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender.

4Stir in pepper and gently fold in tomatoes.

5Cook 10 minutes or until peppers are tender.

6Serve over hot rice. Yields 6 servings.
