  • 2 Tablespoons Almonds, Blanched
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 slice Country-Style White Bread
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 1 pinch Salt

Directions

    Toast the almonds on a baking sheet at 350 F until light golden and fragrant (about 5 minutes).

    Meanwhile, in a small fry pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

    Fry the bread until golden, turning once (about 3 minutes).

    Allow bread to cool.

    Combine the almonds, bread, garlic and salt in a food processor.

    Process to crumbs.

    To make a Mint Picada (gorgeous on a cold lamb sandwich), omit the garlic and add 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves.
