Ingredients

  • 2 lb. okra
  • 5 pods hot red or green pepper
  • 5 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 4 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 6 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard or celery seed

Directions

    Wash okra and pack into hot sterilized jars.

    Put 1 pepper pod and 1 garlic clove in each jar.
  3. 3
    Bring remaining ingredients to a boil; water, vinegar, salt and celery seed.

    Pour over okra and seal.

    Set jars in simmering water and process for 10 minutes and let set for 8 weeks.
