Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 8 to 10 slices pineapple
- 8 to 10 maraschino cherries
- 1 pkg. white cake mix
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2In a deep 9 x 13-inch oblong cake pan or two 9-inch round cake pans; melt butter.

3Add brown sugar and stir over low heat, until dissolved.

4Arrange pineapples and cherries into bottom of pans.

5Prepare cake mix according to box directions.

6Fill prepared pan 3/4 full and bake 30 to 40 minutes. Any remaining cake mix can be used for cup cakes.

7When cake is done and still hot, run a knife around cake edge and invert on a serving plate.
