  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 1 (8 3/4 oz.) can corn, drained
  • 5 (6-inch) pita rounds
  • 1 c. shredded lettuce
  • 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cook ground beef and drain well.

    Add seasoning mix, water, tomatoes and green chilies and corn.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Cut bread rounds in half.

    Place on baking sheet and bake at 250° for 10 minutes, or until warm.

    Fill each pocket half full with meat mixture and top with lettuce and cheese.
