- 1 box raisins
- 3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Boil raisins, water and Crisco together until raisins are plump.

2Add rest of ingredients to large bowl.

3Stir to combine and then add boiled mixture to dry ingredients and stir well. Pour into greased tube pan and bake 1 hour at 350°.

4I bake this cake every Christmas.
