- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. cider vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 qt. popcorn
Directions

1Molasses may be used instead of syrup.

2Cook sugar and vinegar in a heavy saucepan over moderate high heat.

3Stir until sugar dissolves.

4Then cook, uncovered, without stirring until a drop forms a hard ball when put into cold water.

5Remove from heat and mix in butter and vanilla.

6Pour over the popcorn and stir quickly until well mixed.

7With buttered hands, shape into balls.

8Cool on waxed paper.

9Serves 24.
