- 1 dozen jalapeno peppers
- 1- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1-1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1-1/2 c. canola oil
- water
Directions

1Wash peppers and slice in half lengthwise removing all seeds, being careful not to rub your eyes and wash your hands thoroughly when done.

2Stuff each pepper half thoroughly with cream cheese. In med saucepan heat oil on med-high heat until oil is hot.

3In a med size bowl mix all of flour with enough water to make batter consistency thick enough to cling to peppers.

4Place poppers 6 at a time in hot oil.

5Let cook until crisp turning over to cook both sides.

6(New oil will not allow batter to brown as well.)

7Remove cooked peppers from oil and drain on paper towels.

8Serve hot.
