- 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 6 eggs, separated
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine, softened
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring
- 1 tsp. almond extract
Directions

1Blend poppy seed and buttermilk; let stand overnight in refrigerator.

2Next morning beat egg yolks, sugar and margarine together until fluffy.

3Add poppy seed and buttermilk alternately with flour and baking soda, mixing well.

4Add butter flavoring and almond extract; blend.

5Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter.

6Pour into greased Bundt pan and bake in preheated oven at 350° for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
