- 4 pork blade steaks (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick)
- 2 Tbsp. lard
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 slices onion (1/4-inch thick)
- 4 slices tomato (1/2-inch thick)
- 4 green pepper rings (1/4-inch)
Directions

1Brown steaks in lard.

2Remove steaks from pan and arrange in shallow casserole or baking pan.

3Season with salt and pepper. Cover and bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes.

4Remove from oven and place a slice of onion, a slice of tomato and a slice of green pepper on each steak.

5Cover and return to oven for another 15 minutes.
