- 1 dead possum (road kill is fine)
- 2 or 3 pods red pepper
- salt to taste
- butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1 to 2 qt. milk
Directions

1Try to get a possum that has been dead no longer than 3 days and doesn't have any tire marks on his back.

2Add that rascal to a pot of boiling water, along with the pepper pods, salt and butter. Cook him 3 to 6 hours.

3If he ain't tender, you'll know you got an old possum.

4Combine the milk and flour.

5Add small quantities of the mixture to the possum and broth.

6Remember to stir constantly, so he won't cling to the pot.

7If he sticks to the pot, pry him off.

8Pull his tail; that usually works best.
