- 3 to 4 lb. rolled, boned beef chuck or round
- 2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 6 carrots
- 2 lb. peeled onions
- 6 medium potatoes, pared and halved
Directions

1Heat margarine in Dutch oven.

2Add meat and brown well, then sprinkle with salt and pepper; add water.

3Cover and simmer 2 hours.

5Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour more.
