  • 3 to 4 lb. rolled, boned beef chuck or round
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 6 carrots
  • 2 lb. peeled onions
  • 6 medium potatoes, pared and halved

Directions

    Heat margarine in Dutch oven.

    Add meat and brown well, then sprinkle with salt and pepper; add water.

    Cover and simmer 2 hours.
