  • 2 (36 oz.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 2 c. corn flakes, crushed
  • 3/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 pt. sour cream

    Defrost and drain potatoes.

    Combine corn flakes and 1/4 cup butter; set aside.

    Combine remaining 1/2 cup butter, salt, pepper, onion, cheese, soup and sour cream.

    Add potatoes.

    Place in a 9 x 13-inch glass dish.

    Top with corn flake mixture and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
