- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 7 eggs
- 3 c. flour (plain)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon

1Cream together margarine, Crisco and sugar.

2Beat in eggs, one at a time.

3Beat in flour, a little at a time.

4Alternate eggs and flour.

5Add flavoring.

6Let eggs stand at room temperature for 1 hour before using.

7Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.

8Put batter in greased pan and bake about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

9Preheat oven at 350°.

10Bake until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
