  • 3 eggs
  • 1-1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. cooked chopped prunes
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream sugar and oil; add eggs, mixing well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add prunes, nuts and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
