- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 c. salad oil
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. jam
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. prunes, cooked, mashed and cooled
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift together flour, spices, soda and salt.

2Mix sugar and oil, then add eggs.

3Mix milk alternately with dry mixture to oil and sugar.

4Add prunes, jam and nuts.

5Bake in a tube cake pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300° to 325°.

6You may frost with Buttermilk Icing.
