  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. prunes, cooked, seeded and cut up
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream the Wesson oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla together.

    Sift flour with soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.

    Add to the creamed mixture.

    Pour in buttermilk and mix well. Add the cut up prunes and chopped nuts.

    Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Let bake for 1 hour at 325°.
