- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Bring water to a boil on high and add sugar and cream of tartar; stir until it dissolves, then cover and cook for 3 minutes.

2Uncover and, without stirring, cook on high until it reaches a syrupy stage (262° on candy thermometer).

3Do not touch the thermometer to the bottom of the pan.

4Pour into little puddles on a greased pan; let cool.

5Pull until desired size.

6Cut with clean scissors.

7Roll in powdered sugar until coated.
