Ingredients

  • 2 unbaked pie shells
  • 1 (No. 2) can pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup or cooking molasses
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice or 4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Add in order given; stir well and fill 2 unbaked pie shells. Bake 10 minutes at 450°.

    Reduce heat quickly to 325° to 350° and continue baking for about 1 hour.

    I do not like under baked pies. This pumpkin pie should look done, and crust well browned.
