- 2 to 3 lb. cooked roast beef
- 1 1/2 c. gravy
- 1 onion, sliced
- 12 tsp. ground cloves or 8 whole cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1 c. vinegar
- 2 lemon slices
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
Directions

1Place all ingredients in a glass bowl for about 1 hour.

2Turn meat after 30 minutes.

3After meat and spices have set for an hour place in a heavy pan and heat for about 45 minutes.

4This is a good recipe if meat is a little tough; it will become tender and delicious.

5Thicken gravy.

6Serve over spatzle or noodles.
