  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 pt. evaporated milk
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • nuts, candied fruit (optional)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar and eggs for 5 minutes.

    Add vanilla, flour, baking powder and canned milk.

    Add raisins.

    Add nuts and candied fruit if desired.

    Pour into 3 greased loaf pans.

    Bake at 250° approximately 2 1/4 to to 2 1/2 hours.
