Ingredients
- 2 c. boiling water
- 8 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 cake yeast
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
Directions

1Mix boiling water, 1/2 cup sugar, salt and shortening together; then cool until lukewarm.

2Soften yeast in lukewarm water; add 1 teaspoon sugar and stir into first mixture.

3Add beaten eggs and stir in 4 cups of flour.

4Then beat very thoroughly.

5Stir in 4 more cups of flour and mix thoroughly, but it is not necessary to knead.

6Cover tightly and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

7Shape as desired and put in a warm place until double in bulk (about 2 hours).

8Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 425° oven.

9This dough will keep in refrigerator for a week or ten days.
