- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 Tbsp. caraway seed
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. lemon pepper marinade
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 12 slices rye bread
Directions

1Combine meat, seed, garlic salt and lemon pepper; mix well. Shape into 6 patties.

2In a skillet, fry bacon until crisp; remove and crumble.

3Saute onion in bacon fat until golden brown.

4Add sauerkraut and mix thoroughly; keep warm.

5Broil patties.

6Place each patty on slice of rye bread; top with sauerkraut, crumbled bacon, slice of cheese and slice of bread.
