Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 c. rice, uncooked
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 can water chestnuts, cut in small slivers
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 can onion soup
  • liquid from mushrooms and chestnuts (about 3/4 c.)

Directions

    Cook rice in 2 cups of water until nearly done; remove from heat and add margarine; put in casserole dish and add onion soup, mushrooms, water chestnuts and liquid.

    Bake in covered casserole 30 minutes in 350° oven.

    May be done ahead of time and heated before serving.
