- 1 c. rice, uncooked
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 can water chestnuts, cut in small slivers
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 can onion soup
- liquid from mushrooms and chestnuts (about 3/4 c.)
Directions

1Cook rice in 2 cups of water until nearly done; remove from heat and add margarine; put in casserole dish and add onion soup, mushrooms, water chestnuts and liquid.

2Bake in covered casserole 30 minutes in 350° oven.

3May be done ahead of time and heated before serving.
