- 3 c. cooked rice
- 2 large onions, chopped finely
- salt and pepper
- 1 lb. Owens sausage (hot)
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped finely
- 1 c. celery, chopped finely
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 lb. Owens sausage (mild)
- 1 c. sliced green onions
Directions

1Brown all meat in large Dutch oven.

2Pour off grease.

3Salt and pepper meat.

4Add celery, onion and bell pepper and cook until vegetables soften.

5Add chicken broth and cook about 45 minutes, until almost dried out but still moist.

6Remove from heat.

7Add cooked rice and mix well.

8Add raw green onions and mix well. Serve hot.
