  • 6 c. water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine (optional)
  • 2 1/2 c. rice
  • 2 c. frozen vegetables, thawed (optional)

Directions

    Put 6 cups of water in a 2-quart pot on high.

    Add margarine (optional), garlic and onion.

    Cut the potatoes in squares and add to the boiling mixture.

    Add vegetables (optional) and rice. Cover with a lid.

    Place on medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
