Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
Directions

1Cream Crisco, butter and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each.

3Alternately add flour and milk, mixing well after each.

4Add flavoring and mix again.

5Pour mixture into well-greased and floured tube or long loaf pan.

6Bake at 325° for approximately 2 hours or until done.

7(Recipe calls for 1 1/2 hours, but I find that it takes 2 hours.)

8This is a good cake and big too!

9Start in cold oven.

10Do not preheat.
