- 3 to 4 lb. venison roast
- 2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- flour
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- water
Directions

1Sprinkle 2 teaspoons salt with a dash of pepper.

2Dredge with flour.

3Place in an iron pan with 2 tablespoons oil.

4Sear on all sides until brown.

5Add a small amount of water.

6Cover pan and turn heat to low.

7Add a little water when it seems dry.

8Cook until tender, very slowly.

9Remove from pan and use the drippings for gravy.
