  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. melted Spry or Crisco
  • 1 yeast cake, softened in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 4 1/2 c. sifted flour (do not use self-rising)

Directions

    Mix cornmeal and hot water to form a thick batter.
