  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 lb. oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix oats and boiling water.

    Let stand 20 minutes.

    Cream brown sugar, white sugar and oleo.

    Add eggs and oat mixture.

    Add flour, cinnamon, soda and salt.

    Pour into greased cake loaf pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    While cake is baking, make icing.
